چکیده

Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis L.) is a perennial shrub adapted to dry and hot climates. It produces high-quality seed oil that widely used in the industrial, cosmetic, pharmaceutical sectors. Soil salinity often constraint plants grown under desert conditions. Thus, present study, we aim select establish salt tolerant-jojoba cultivars using vitro culture. seeds were sown on germination media supplemented with various amounts of seawater achieve final solute concentrations 2000-, 3000-, 5000 ppm. Shoot tips from seedlings selected different levels subsequently cultured multiple-shoot induction media, followed by root at same as which explants selected. We germinated, multiplied, rooted, acclimatized could sustain up 3000 Among all levels, those 2000 ppm found have highest growth multiplication parameters during rooting stages. In addition, these also contained high chlorophyll a, b, carotenoid contents.

Salt-related Genes Expression Pattern in Salt-Tolerant and Salt-Sensitive Cultivars of Cotton (Gossypium sp.) under NaCl Stress

Salinity is one of the most important limitation factors in development of agricultural products. Cotton has a relative tolerance to salinity; however, salinity reduces its growth during germination and seedling stages. In this research, split-factorial design of time based on randomized complete block design with 3 replications was used. The real-time PCR results for, root, stem, and leaves of...

In vitro propagation of some promising genotypes of jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)

Nodal segments (1.5 3.0 cm long) of six promising jojoba genotypes were cultured in vitro on solidified MS medium supplemented with BA in combination with different concentrations of NAA, IAA or IBA for shoot formation. The plant growth regulators combination of 5.55 μM BA + 7.1 μM IAA proved the best for shoot initiation and subsequent growth. Some explants of the jojoba genotypes, PKJ-3 and P...

In vitro propagation of jojoba.

Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis (Link) Schn.) is a nontraditional crop in arid and semi-arid areas. Vegetative propagation can be achieved by layering, grafting, or rooting semi-hardwood cuttings, but the highest number of possible propagules is limited by the size of the plants and time of the year. Micropropagation is highly recommended strategy for obtaining jojoba elite clones. For culture ini...

Network-based transcriptome analysis in salt tolerant and salt sensitive maize (Zea mays L.) genotypes

Identification of genes involved in salinity stress tolerance provides deeper insight into molecular mechanisms underlying salinity tolerance in maize. The present study was conducted in the faculty of agriculture of Urmia university, Iran, in 2018, with the aim of identifying genetic differences between two maize genotypes in tolerance to salinity stress, and the results of gene expression wer...
